This review is a bit late, but I wanted to ensure we left something positive for the owner. My wife and I were traveling to Lynchburg for a wedding last weekend and for a pit stop we wanted to grab some coffee. We browsed Google for local shops in the area we were passing and The Maple Cafe popped up. We decided to give it a try, and we were pleasantly surprised. Before going further, this cafe is located in the Valley Mall, which at the time, we were unaware as Google Maps did not indicate that initially, so when we arrived we were a bit confused as to why it took us to a mall. The search results made it appear to be a standalone cafe; however, that's aside from the point of this review. The woman behind the counter was warm and welcoming towards us. She explained to us how building your own sandwiches worked (aside from the plethora of sandwiches offered), offered samples, uses homemade sourdough, provides local teas/maple syrup, and more! It was pleasant throughout our entire visit to her cafe. The coffees my wife and I ordered were great as well as the sandwiches. The atmosphere of the cafe was relaxing and warm with lofi-style music playing softly (not too low or loud). If we pass through this area again we would 100% stop here for another round of food and drinks. If you're driving through or around the area, give this place a try!

spectacular sandwich - far better than a simple ham on wheat ever deserved to be. Really friendly staff. A regular cup of coffee was perfect - not at all bitter, slightly nutty with a fresh clean finish. I definitely found the right spot to park myself for an hour.

Delicious coffee if you can catch them when they're open. Many sweets to indulge in as well. Conveniently located inside the Valley Mall. I just wish their hours were the same as the mall hours.

The owner had a car accident this morning but still showed up to work. She made my bf a delicious Rueben which he said was hands down the best he ever had. I had a ham and bologna and it was grilled to perfection. We will definitely be back!

I had a ham sandwich on home made white bread with three different kinds of cheese. It was delicious, will be returning again soon.

Quaint cafe with delicious coffee and good food. The sourdough bread hit the spot. Toasted and crispy, yet soft and delicate. Ham and cheese sandy with the latte? superb combo. I recommend this cafe. Worth the trip

I recently moved to the area, and the mall has been where my partner and I spend time on weekends. I tried The Maple Cafe this past Saturday, and WOW! The coffee (as a total coffee snob) was fantastic, my partner got a sandwich - he is a pretty picky person, he absolutely LOVED it. Being from up north, a good latte can cost $10+, the price point at The Maple Cafe is extremely affordable. The ladies were wonderful, I work remotely and they encouraged me to come in for coffee and even work a little if I wanted in the cafe. I RARELY give reviews. But with the superb coffee and food options, the kind ladies working, and the adorable atmosphere of the cafe, for anyone new to the area it is a MUST TRY! I will absolutely be back!
